Naughty Samadhi was initially formed in 2004 as a belly dance troupe under the name Samadhi Tribal Fusion Belly Dance Troupe. As time went by and occasions allowed, they began to incorporate other performance types into their shows. Fire performance, hula hooping, Hawaiian hula dancing, and burlesque became staples. They also seemed to break all the rules of traditional belly dance anytime a venue would allow it. And so began the transition to Naughty Samadhi!
